Classes are held at
the John Hazen White Arts and Sciences Building at
30 Chestnut Street (corner of Chestnut and Pine
Streets). A limited number of free
parking/security passes are distributed first
come/first served by postmark of request. The
parking pass also allows access to the building. You
must indicate that you request a pass when you
register. Discounted parking at a nearby lot is also
available with a BCLIR coupon.
RISD Museum
of Art

The Museum of Art's address is 224 Benefit Street,
Providence. There are two entrances to the
Museum, on Benefit Street through the Farago Wing at
the corner of Benefit and Waterman Streets.
You may also enter the Museum through RISD's Chace
Center at 20 North Main Street, Providence.
Many leave their cars on the East Side and take the
RIPTA trolley from East Side Market to North Main
Street. The entrance to the Museum is a 1/2
block walk.

"Reading and Understanding Poetry" meets in the
Community Room of the Rochambeau Public Library
Branch located at 708 Hope Street, Providence.
This is the north end of Hope Street, closest to
Pawtucket. Take Route 95 North to Branch Ave
exit. Bear right off exit, and follow Branch
Ave to traffic light at North Main Street (North
Burial Ground will be on the left). Continue
across North Main Street to Cypress St. Follow
Cypress up hill all the way to Hope St. The
Providence Center will be on the right. Turn
left onto Hope Street and continue down
approximately one mile. The Library is located
on left side of street, one block before the
intersection with Rochambeau Ave.
Enter through the front door on the right, into the
new addition. Go down the stairs to the Community
Room. There is on-street parking on Hope Street and
side streets.
